ALCOY 1960
Educado en el seno de una familia con una profunda afición y gusto por el arte, se siente hondamente atraído por la pintura y especialmente por la escuela española en Roma. La figura del pintor reusense Mariano Fortuny ha sido y sigue siendo su mayor exponente y ejemplo, y está considerado como un fiel devoto y partidario de esta modalidad o corriente artística acaecida entre el S.XIX y el S.XX, conocida por su preciosismo luminista.
A Ignacio Trelis se le tiene que definir como un pintor hecho así mismo, que ha encontrado un estilo propio, basado en estudios, investigaciones técnicas y modelos artísticos. Hoy, esta investigación le lleva a cubrir aspectos de una cierta abstracción, unida al figurativismo más realista, obteniendo una obra de carácter personal y único en el panorama actual.
